In the cozy shop ‘Katrien’ at Zaanbocht, you’ll find a treasure trove of nostalgic kitchen and household products. Joke Hazenbroek, a former dental assistant and mother, chose to embark on a completely new path: owning a shop that takes you back in time.

At ‘Katrien’, everything revolves around the atmosphere of the past. The assortment consists of more than 1,000 different items, all with the quality and charm of bygone days. From household items and small home accessories to kitchenware and cooking utensils, personal care products, and nostalgic gifts. What do they all have in common? Sustainability, natural materials, and minimal environmental impact.

Stroll through the store and discover dusters made of lambswool and ostrich feathers, brushes made of wood and natural fibers, and room sweepers in all shapes and sizes. You’ll also find kitchen textiles, tea towels, oven mitts, aprons, and a wide range of natural ropes. ‘Katrien’ also offers wicks, enamel cups, mason jars, old-fashioned candies, incense, and an extensive selection of soaps and fragrances.

As the cherry on top, Joke presents an assortment of about 50 delicious and healthy teas from the well-known brand Peperbol.
